Your organization might have legal obligations to host data in a certain region, for example because you have to follow the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), or other applicable laws and regulations. Of course you want to make sure you follow the specific obligations that apply to your company while using the CYS software. 

With the CYS software, you can choose a region where you want to host your data. During the registration process of your CYS portal, you will have the option to choose a region where you want your data to be stored. All data that is added to your portal will automatically be stored in this region. Please choose carefully while registering, because changing the location later on is not that easy.
