A single question page embodies exactly what it says. It is a page on which only one question is being posed to a respondent. Posing one question on a single page offers the great advantage of clarity and transparency. Especially within surveys this way of posing questions adds speed and overview to the process, thus stimulating the respondent to see the questionnaire through to the very end.

The single question page type splits up into five different subtypes. These types of pages vary, depending on the type of answer the respondent can provide you with. We recognise the following subtypes:

Single Response Question Page

A single response question page is a page in which a closed-ended question is posed. The answers on these pages are predefined, although you may include an "other" option, to allow respondents to provide you with their own alternative, if none of the aforementioned options apply to them. Per page, only one answer can be selected, so if a respondent selects a different answer, any other option will automatically become unselected. Because only one click per page is needed, single response pages make a survey quick and easy to complete for respondents.

Multi Response Question Page

A multi response question page is a page in which a closed-ended question is posed. The answers on these pages are predefined, although you may include an "other" option, to allow respondents to provide you with their own alternative, if none of the aforementioned options apply to them. Per page, multiple answers may be selected, although you can preset a minimum of maximum to the amount of boxes that the respondent can check.

X-Point Scale Question Page

An X-Point Scale Question Page is a page in which it is possible to pose a ratings question of which you may determine the size of the scale yourself. In addition you are also able to choose the way in which you would like the scale to be presented to the respondent: numeric or using a slider bar. These pages are oftentimes used for scaling between two extremities and the great advantage of an x-point scale question page over other rating questions is that it allows for more nuance on the side of the respondent.

Comment Question Page

A comment question page is an a page in which an open ended question is posed. A comment question page allows for a great deal of variety and offers respondents a blank sheet on which they can express themselves in their own words. Comment question pages are typically used to provide additional comments or feedback. For certain types of studies or research, these pages, allowing for spontaneous and freely expressed answers provide data that is more valuable than pre-defined answers, even if this data may be harder to quantify.

Media Question Page

Sometimes, an image can say more than a thousand words. The media question page offers the respondent to provide you with a media file to support his survey or provide you with proof of his findings. These pages are typically useful within audit questionnaires. Media files that can be added include photo's and screenshots, but also audio and video files. Files can be added to this page by means of uploading, live recording or scanning.
