This article will explain the layout of the wizard tab of the Dynamic Rule Engine

The Dynamic Rule Engine is a great way to create flexibility and add depth and complexity to your questionnaire and helps your manage your datagarden, scheduler and reports. But what does a rule in the wizard tab actuallylook like? Next we'll explain the wizard tab.

As you choose for the Dynamic Rule Engine option, a screen will pop up on the rules tab, showing all rules that you have created for this page. 

Clicking on either the "Add rule (wizard)" button or on an existing rule name will trigger a new tab: the Wizard tab.

This tab will consist of several areas and functionalities:

• Back
  This will take the user back to the rules tab
  
  
• Three buttons in the top right corner:
  Update - this saves or updates recent changes you made to your rule
  FP - this allows the user to insert a placeholder
  Convert to Expert - this convert the created rule into code
  
  
• Name
  This is the name you give to the rule and that gets displayed in the rules tab
  
  
• Description
  This is an area in which you can provide a description on what you want the rule to do, as a reference to yourself or others.
  
  
• Conditions
  These are the requirements that a certain condition must meet in order to be taken into account in processing this rule.
  You can make a choice if you want a condition to meet all requirements or just one of several and whether the conditions apply to data that relates to the data garden or the questionnaire. We'll tell you more about creating conditons in a different article.
  
  
• Action
  Here you can enter the automated action that needs to be performed when the system recognises an entry that meets the requirements you just set up. This can be a creation of text, a skip, a jump, a mutation of data, and so on.
