After adding a dashboard and opening it for the first time, you will see a blank canvas that is yours to fill. The name of the dashboard will be presented at the center. To get started, hit the edit button at the top right corner of the screen:

Once in edit-mode, additional options will appear and your dashboard will open in grid view. When you start adding new widgets they will be added to the grid to ensure a perfect alignment. You can create any number of widgets in one dashboard.

From left to right, you now have access to the following icons:

The Export button

This gives you the option to download your dashboard widgets into PDF or PNG files. It will generate a single file per widget, making it easy to create files for sharing or for inserting into mails or presentations.

The Settings icon

When you click on the settings button, you will be introduced to the dashboard settings, where you can select the color scheme, Period setting of the dashboard, Background settings and published groups. For more detailed information on these options, read our article on the dashboard settings.

The Add icon

When you click the Add icon, a pop-up will appear in which you can select the widget-type you want to use in your dashboard. There is a large choice of pre-designed widgets already available that you can use in your reporting. In addition to that it is even possible to add infographics or custom designs.

The Save button

This button is to save any changes you make to your dashboard and to go back to viewing-mode. Lets continue with filling out your dashboard settings.
