When setting up reporting widgets in your dashboard, there are three different datapoint types that you can use. This article will explain the fixed data

Fixed data is the easiest type of datapoint to work with. It means that you are able to type in the actual value that you want to have displayed in the widget. The value that you submit is saved and displayed and will therefore never change (until you manually change it of course).

When selecting Fixed as your datapoint type, a few data entry fields appear in your widget settings.

Main data point: this is the actual value that is going to be displayed as a result.

Min scale: some widgets can show the result on a scale and in this field you can enter the minimal scale you want to use.

Max scale: some widgets can show the result on a scale and in this field you can enter the maximum scale you want to use.

Applications:

Fixed data points are perfect to present goals, benchmarks, targets, etc. You can present a widget with this fixed data next to a widget with the actual result as a comparison.

Another option is to use fixed data to present some historic results that you don't have the actual data sets for. This way, you can still present them in your dashboard in order to compare your current results with.
